MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- South Dakota State fell 7-0 Saturday at Minnesota. With the loss, the Jacks fall to 1-1 on the year.
In singles action, Florencia Magni fell 6-1, 6-0, while Ffion Davies and Iasmin Rose fell 6-0, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-2, respectively. Jenny Blackburne, Beatriz Souza and Tacy Haws-Lay also took losses on the day.
In doubles, Blackburne/Davies fell 7-6 (4), Magni/Rosa fell 6-1, and Haws-Lay/Souza fell 6-2.
The Jacks return to action Feb. 8 against a pair of Division II opponents in Winona State and Minnesota State. Action will take place in St. Peter, Minn.
