LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska won 15 of 16 events en route to recording a 180-109 victory over South Dakota State in a women's swimming and diving dual Saturday afternoon.
Kayce Smith was the lone event winner for the Jackrabbits, claiming the 200 breaststroke in 2 minutes, 25.98 seconds. Smith also teamed with Kristin Erf to claim two of the top three spots in the 100 breaststroke, with Erf clocking a second-place time of 1:06.98 and Smith taking third in 1:07.12.
The other Jacrkabbits turned in strong efforts to post runner-up finishes: Julia Bodnaruk in the 200 freestyle (1:56.96), freshman Richelle Bruyckere in the 500 freestyle (5:24.02) and Olivia Olesiak in the 1-meter diving competition (229.80 points). Olesiak also placed fourth in 3-meter diving with 257.48 points.
