BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota State prevails over the University of Northern Iowa 1-0, Friday at Fishback Soccer Park under wet and chilly conditions.
Sophomore Julia Lam from Apple Valley, Minnesota, took advantage of an open shot with 45 seconds left to play and sent the ball soaring over the goalkeeper's reach, notching her first goal of the season.
The Jackrabbits and Panthers played an aggressive, yet scoreless first half, with each team taking five shots.
