Fresh off its first Summit League loss of the season, South Dakota State looks to bounce back on Thursday, when the Jackrabbits host the Fort Wayne Mastodons. The Jacks, who look to stay perfect at home with a 7-0 mark, can also extend their home winning streak to 24, the eighth-longest streak in all of Division I.
To extend those streak, the Jacks need to get by what may be the hottest team in The Summit League, as IPFW comes to Frost Arena riding a league-best seven game winning streak, and brings with them a 14-4 overall record and a 3-0 mark in league play, just one win behind Omaha, which entered the week with a 4-0 league mark and a six game winning streak.
Mike Daum scored a career-high 23 points on Thursday at IUPUI, and three other Jackrabbits scored in double figures as well, but the rest of the team combined for four points in the 74-67 loss to the Jaguars.
SDSU led by as many as seven points early at IUPUI, but the Jaguars rallied back to take a halftime lead, and then used an 11-1 run midway through the second half to regain the lead and secure the win.
