The South Dakota State equestrian team fell to No. 9 Fresno State and No. 10 New Mexico State over the weekend at the Willis Invitational in Waco, Texas.

Round 2 against Fresno State continued Saturday morning with Equitation over Fences and Horsemanship. The Bulldogs won, 12-4.

In round 3, the Jackrabbits took on the Aggies for the final meet of the weekend. SDSU dropped to NMSU, 13-2.

Kelsey Swainston defeated Alyssa Luckhardt, 70-69.5 en route to the first MOP of the season. New Mexico State swept in Reining, 4-0.

On the Hunt Seat side, freshman
Jessica Martinez captured the lone point in Equitation over Fences with a 70-50 decision over Remington Wilkie.
Jacey Chorlton tied her point against Madison Brayman with a 76. The Aggies also swept in Equitation on the Flat.
