The South Dakota State men's swimming and diving team dropped St. Cloud State, 179-121 on Friday at the Stanley J. Marshall Pool.
Sophomore
Joseph Weber placed first in the 1- and 3-meter dives with scores of 322.95 and 323.25, respectively. These scores qualified him to compete at the NCAA Zone Championships in March.
Freshman
Alex Crow finished second in the 1-meter dive with a score of 300.01, qualifying him to also compete at the NCAA Zone Championships.
In the 3-meter dive, the Jacks finished in the top four places and in the top three spots in the 1-meter dive.
SDSU finished in the top three places in the 1,000 freestyle. Freshman
Christian Offenhauser finished first in 10:07.71, while
Weston Christensen and
Chris Angerhofer finished behind, respectively.
The Jackrabbits also finished in the top three spots in the 500 freestyle. Angerhofer snatched first place, with Offenhauser and
Spencer Sathre following in second and third, respectively.
Chris Rumrill captured a first place win in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:46.33, while
Matthew Carpenter came in first in the 100 backstroke in 53.31.
Wyatt Rumrill remains unfeated in the 200 breaststroke finishing in a time of 2:10.44.
