Krista Wood has announced three additions for the 2017-18 recruiting class as part of Wednesday's National Signing Day. All three committed to join South Dakota State's program and will be incoming freshman next fall.

Will graduate in May 2017 from Pipestone Area Schools (Pipestone, Minn.) … has not completed senior season … a three-year letterwinner in softball … a two-time All-State and All-Conference selection in 2015 and 2016 … selected All-Section in 2015 and All-Tournament in 2016 … swiped 87 stolen bases for her career … holds single-season school records for fielding percentage (1.000) and runs scored … as a junior posted a .574 on base percentage alongside a .494 batting average, going 40-for-81 … National Honors Society member … a member of BRAVE and Peer Helper at her school … also plays volleyball where she was an All-Conference Honorable Mention pick in 2015 … born Sept. 23, 1998 in Montevideo, Minn. … daughter of Dan and Teree Nesvold … her father, Dan, ran track at South Dakota State … has one brother, Carter … plans to major in early childhood education.
