TULSA, Okla.—Junior
Ellie Thompson led four Jackrabbits in double digits in scoring as South Dakota State defeated Oral Roberts 78-57 Saturday afternoon in a Summit League game in front of 458 fans at the Mabee Center.

Thompson scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for the 14-4, 5-1 Jackrabbits. Sophomore
Madison Guebert and senior
Clarissa Ober each scored 12 points while senior
Kerri Young had 11 points and a team-high 8 rebounds. Junior
Alexis Alexander had eight points and tied a season high with seven rebounds.

Faith Ihim led Oral Roberts, 10-8, 2-3, with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

The Jackrabbits opened the game on a 5-0 run and extended their lead to 11 when Ober converted a traditional three-point play to put SDSU up 23-12 with 1:41 to play in the first quarter.

Lakota Beatty's jumper with 8:01 left in the second quarter cut South Dakota State's lead to four, 27-23. The Jackrabbits scored the next nine points fueled by a 3-pointer by sophomore
Sydney Palmer and a pair by senior
Ena Viso to lead 44-25.

Guebert and freshman
Sydney Tracy sank back-to-back 3-pointers to push SDSU's lead to 44-25 with 2:06 remaining in the half. Young sank a jumper with a second left to give the Jacks a 46-29 lead at halftime.

SDSU opened the third quarter with an 8-2 run, capped by a three-point play from Thompson to put the Jacks up 54-31. State limited Oral Roberts to just nine points in the quarter and led by 20 at the end.

Oral Roberts cut the lead to 15 points with a 7-0 run midway through the fourth quarter, but South Dakota State responded with a 14-2 run for its largest lead of the game, 78-51.

- Kerri Young moved into 27th in career scoring with 1,159 points, passing Rachel Halsrud (1,154) tonight.
- Madison Guebert scored 12 points, giving her 609 career points.
- Guebert sank three 3-pointers, making her 19 short of moving onto the SDSU career 3-point field goals list.
