Mike Daum picked up another honor Tuesday, being named an Associated Press honorable mention All-American.
The Summit League Player of the Year has also been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 12 First Team and to the United States Basketball Writers Association All-District VI Team. He helped the Jackrabbits to the NCAA Tournament this year, averaging 25.1 points and 8.1 rebound per game while shooting 51.4 percent from the field and 41.8 percent from 3-point range.
The sophomore set the single-season school record for points with 878 while climbing to No. 12 on the Jackrabbit all-time scoring list with 1,396 points. Additionally, the Kimball, Nebraska, native set the single-season school record for field goals made (274) and sophomore rebounding (285) while matching the top mark for free throws in a season (251).

The 6-foot-9 forward hit 79 3-pointers on the year while notching 32 double-figure scoring games. He scored 20-or-more on 25 occasions, dropped 30-or-more in 13 games and had two 40-plus scoring performances, including a 51-point effort at Fort Wayne Feb. 18.
Daum joins Nate Wolters (2012 & 2013) as a Division I AP All-American at South Dakota State.
