OMAHA, Neb. – The South Dakota State women's team opened conference-play Friday afternoon, dropping a 6-1 decision to Omaha at the Miracle Hill Tennis Center in Omaha.

Iasmin Rosa and Morgan Brower won their doubles match 7-6 (5-3) at No. 1, but it wasn't enough as the Mavericks claimed the doubles point.

Elif Gabb won the lone point for the Jacks, defeating Kenzie Hill 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 6 singles.

Maria Laura Velazco was the closest to capturing another point for SDSU, dropping a 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 decision at No. 3.
