VERMILLION, South Dakota—Throwers
Colton Bender and
Dakota Leonhard each broke a school record and the South Dakota State track and field program posted 16 top-10 marks at the SDSU vs. USD Duals at the Lillibridge Track Complex in Vermillion, S.D., on Saturday.

The men's team fell in their dual, 99-92, while the SDSU women fell, 104-87.
Thrower's
Colton Bender and
Dakota Leonhard each broke a school record on Saturday. Bender broke the school record in the hammer throw with a mark of 196-01. Leonhard broke the school record in the javelin throw, with a distance of 195-04.
Kyle Anderson moved into sixth on the top-10 list in the shot put with a distance of 53-10.50.

Reagan Francom posted a personal-best in the pole vault, clearing 16-07.25 to move into second on the all-time top-10 list.
Sam Zenner recorded a personal best in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 10.51, which ranks third in SDSU school history.

Kyle Burdick posted a personal best and meet record in the 800-meter run, finishing in 1:51.65. The time is good for eighth on the SDSU top-10 list and ranks first in The Summit League on the season.
Alejandro Sanchez finished second in the race recording a time of 1:53.06.

Landon Larson moved into third on the Jackrabbits' top-10 list with a time of 21.31 in the 200-meter dash. The time set a new meet record and ranks second in The Summit League on the season.

Josh Dotson won the triple jump, setting a meet record with a mark of 49-07.00.
The 4x100-meter relay team of
Bo Arnold,
Landon Larson, Joe Bednar and
Sam Zenner combined to finish in 41.50, which is good for second in school history.
Caleb Cowling won the long jump (23-02.00) and
Bryant Courter (22-11.00) took second.
On the women's side,Â
Silvia Zanini won the hammer throw tossing a distance of 182-09.
Abby Sudbeck finished second with a throw of 182-05, which moves her into sixth on the top-10 list. Zanini also won the discus throw, with a personal-best distance of 160-09.

Rachel King won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:32.68 which ranks seventh in school history.

Savannah Dolezal won the 400-meter run (56.46) and now is tied for fifth on the SDSU all-time top-10 list.
Jacleen Patterson finished third with a time of 56.85.
In the 400-meter hurdles,
Evelyn Klein posted the third-fastest time in school history, finishing in 1:03.16.

Micayla Terwee moved into the number eight spot on the top-10 list with her shot put throw of 46-00.75.

Oksana Covey claimed the title in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.63.
Kayla McDonald won the 200-meter dash recording a personal-best time of 24.44.
Bailey Cowling and
Monique Mack each cleared 5-03.00 in the high jump to tie for second place. Mack also posted a personal-best triple jump with a mark of 38-11.50, which ranks seventh on the SDSU top-10 list.
Up Next
Part of the team will travel to Iowa City, Iowa, to compete in the Jim Duncan Invitational Apr. 14-15, while some team members will travel to Walnut, Calif., to compete at the Mt. SAC Relays Apr. 13-15.
