For the second time in less than a week, the South Dakota State women's basketball team faces a top-tier mid-major team when it plays Central Michigan Monday at 6 p.m. in McGuirk Arena.

The Jackrabbits won their 53rd home opener Nov. 9 with an 80-62 win over Florida Gulf Coast.
Macy Miller scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Central Michigan won its season and home opener, 104-61, vs. Oakland Nov. 8.

SDSU and CMU are ranked second and third, respectively, in the CollegeInsider Mid-Major preseason poll released Nov. 6. The Chippewas also received 23 votes in the USA Today Sports Top 25 Coaches Preseason Poll.

Noteworthy
- The Jackrabbits play their third consecutive team that played in last year's NCAA Tournament.
- SDSU is 1-1 in nonleague games this season after posting a 10-4 record last year.
- Both the Jackrabbits and the Chippewas were picked to win their respective leagues.
- Monday's game is the third meeting between South Dakota State and Central Michigan. The series is tied 1-1 with each team winning on its home court. The last meeting between the teams was Dec. 15, 2013, when the Jacks won 87-82 in Frost Arena.
- SDSU is 9-1 against teams from the Mid-American Conference and 15-3 versus teams from Michigan.
