The South Dakota State women's basketball team begins a five-game road swing that takes it west for a pair of games this week. First up, Montana State Tuesday at 8 p.m. in Worthington Arena in Bozeman, Montana.

The Jacks (7-4) closed their nonleague home schedule Dec. 14 with a commanding 97-49 win over Savannah State.
Tylee Irwin led three Jackrabbits in double figures in scoring with a game-high 22 points.

The Bobcats are 5-4 on the season after defeating Omaha, 59-56 Dec. 16.

Tuesday's game is the first meeting between the Jackrabbits and the Bobcats.

- Sharp shooter Madison Guebert needs eight 3-pointers to become the SDSU and The Summit League leader in that category.
- South Dakota State can record the program's 975th win Tuesday. The Jackrabbits are 974-422 (.697) in their 53rd season of women's basketball. Of the 974 wins, 343 are NCAA Division I victories, the most among The Summit League members.
- South Dakota State was ranked second in Graham Hays' Dec. 12 espnW mid-major poll.
- SDSU has the 13th-toughest schedule in the NCAA.
