The South Dakota State women's basketball team begins a five-game road swing that takes it west for a pair of games this week. First up, Montana State Tuesday at 8 p.m. in Worthington Arena in Bozeman, Montana.

The Jacks (7-4) closed their nonleague home schedule Dec. 14 with a commanding 97-49 win over Savannah State. Tylee Irwin led three Jackrabbits in double figures in scoring with a game-high 22 points.

The Bobcats are 5-4 on the season after defeating Omaha, 59-56 Dec. 16.

Tuesday's game is the first meeting between the Jackrabbits and the Bobcats.

Noteworthy
- Sharp shooter Madison Guebert needs eight 3-pointers to become the SDSU and The Summit League leader in that category.
- South Dakota State can record the program's 975th win Tuesday. The Jackrabbits are 974-422 (.697) in their 53rd season of women's basketball. Of the 974 wins, 343 are NCAA Division I victories, the most among The Summit League members.
- South Dakota State was ranked second in Graham Hays' Dec. 12 espnW mid-major poll.
- SDSU has the 13th-toughest schedule in the NCAA.
- State received one vote in Monday's The Associated Press poll and three votes in the Dec. 11 USA Today Coaches poll. The Jacks last received votes in the Nov. 19 AP poll.
- Macy Miller has scored 20-or-more points five times. She averages a team-leading 17.1 points.
- Guebert is shooting 45.8 percent (11-24) from 3-point range in the last three outings.
- In the last five games, Miller is averaging 16.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 60.8 percent from the field, 70.6 from 3-point range and 80 percent from the free-throw line.
- State has held six opponents to 65-or-fewer points, including five to less than 61. Opponents are averaging just 61.6 points in the last five games.
- There have been at least three Jackrabbits scoring in double digits nine times this season.
