The South Dakota State women's basketball team begins a three-game homestand Saturday when it plays its third ranked team on the season in No. 21 Drake at 2 p.m. in the friendly confines of Frost Arena.

The Jackrabbits (5-3) won their second consecutive game with a 71-54 victory at Chattanooga Tuesday. Macy Miller scored a team-high 17 points to lead four Jackrabbits in double figures in scoring.

The Bulldogs are 8-1 on the season and defeated Clarke, an NAIA team, Tuesday, 91-43. Prior to that, Drake defeated Creighton, 85-69, Nov. 28.

Saturday's game is the third meeting between the Jackrabbits and the Bulldogs. The series is tied at 1-1 after SDSU won in Des Moines last year, 85-78.

- South Dakota State was ranked seventh in Graham Hays' Nov. 28 espnW mid-major poll.
- SDSU has the seventh-toughest schedule in the NCAA.
- Macy Miller has scored 20-or-more points in four games. She averages a team-leading 18.0 points. Her scoring average is currently 10th on the SDSU single-season chart.
- State has held five opponents to 65-or-fewer points, including four to less than 61. Opponents are averaging just 56.4 points in the last five games. Drake averages 81.0 points per game and gives up 68.1 ppg.
- There have been at least three Jackrabbits scoring in double digits six times this season.
