SPRINGTOWN, Texas – The No. 8 South Dakota State equestrian team dropped a 12-7 decision to No. 7 TCU Thursday afternoon at Turning Point Ranch.
 
SDSU falls to 3-4 on the season, while TCU improves to 6-6.
 
Jessica Martinez scored the first point for the Jacks with a 78-75 victory over Elizabeth McKim in Equitation over Fences. 
Taylor Duerr topped Marisa Malevitis, 74-45 to claim the second point in the discipline.
 
In Reining, the Jacks won 3-2 to tie up the meet. 
Catelyn Hall defeated Josie Ferrante, 69-67.5. 
Jordan Gates upended Carly Lombard, 67-62, while 
Madison Sullivan dropped Claire Dittrich, 68-65.5.
 
Jacey Chorlton captured the lone point for State in Equitation on the Flat with a 75-74 win over Mady Fithian. 
Claire Garduno tied her point with a 74.
 
Finishing off the day, 
Nichole Zazula upended Cydney Benes, 71.5-67.
