Styles Named to Academic All-League Team

ELMHURST, Ill. – Emerson Styles of the South Dakota State tennis team was honored Wednesday as a member of The Summit League Academic All-League team.

The junior from Barnstaple, England earned his second-consecutive recognition on the academic team with a 3.87 GPA in geography and geographic information sciences.

Styles posted a 2-18 singles record and a 5-18 mark in doubles on the season.

To be selected to the league's academic all-league teams, student-athletes must: maintain a 3.3 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale; complete at least one full year (two semesters, three quarters) at their current institutions; and participate in 50 percent of their team's completed competitions.Â
