After finishing the first portion of The Summit League schedule 7-1, the South Dakota State women's basketball team meets Denver for a second time Thursday at 8 p.m. in Hamilton Gym in the Mile High City.

SDSU enters Thursday's game atop The Summit League standings with a 7-1 record and a 15-6 overall mark. The Pioneers are third with a 5-3 league record and are 12-9 overall.

The Jackrabbits won their fifth consecutive game with an 81-47 rout of Omaha Jan. 26. Summit League Player of the Year candidate Macy Miller and All-Summit League candidate Myah Selland led four Jacks in double-digit scoring with game highs of 15 points.

Denver was upset Jan. 26 at Purdue Fort Wayne, losing 70-55.

Thursday's game is the 16th meeting between the Jacks and Pioneers. South Dakota State leads the series 14-1.

Noteworthy
- South Dakota State is 6-3 on the road this season. It is also 71-24 (.747) all-time in Summit League road games. SDSU has won 20 of its last 29 league road contests.
- The Jackrabbits are 286-100 (.740) all-time since joining The Summit League in 2007-08.
- For the seventh time since joining The Summit League, SDSU is off to a start of 7-1 or better.
- SDSU's five-game win streak is the longest since the 2017-18 team won six in a row between Jan. 3 and Jan. 20 and ranks 25th in the NCAA. South Dakota State is limiting opponents to 48.4 points during the win streak.
- Denver leads The Summit League overall (82.1) and is third (81.5) in league-only games in scoring while South Dakota State ranks third overall (77.2) and second (81.6) in the league. The Pioneers have scored 100-or-more points in a game three times this season.
- n Two of the top 3-point shooters in the country square off Thursday. Denver's Lauren Loven leads the NCAA with 80 3-pointers and SDSU's Madison Guebert ranks eighth (66).
- Guebert is shooting 51.6 percent (16-31) from 3-point range in the last five outings.
- South Dakota State was ranked third in Graham Hays' Jan. 23 espnW mid-major poll.
- Macy Miller has scored 20-or-more points eight times. She averages a team-leading 17.4 points. The point guard ranks 37th in the NCAA in points (365) and 49th in field goals made (131).
- In the last five games, Miller is averaging 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists while shooting 50.0 percent from the field, 43.8 percent from 3-point range and 91.3 percent from the free-throw line.
- State has held 12 opponents to 65-or-fewer points, including seven to less than 50.
- There have been at least three Jackrabbits scoring in double digits 19 times this season.
- South Dakota State ranks among the top 30 nationally in five categories, including 10th in assists (364) and 27th in field-goal percentage (47.3).
