ST. GEORGE, Utah—In its first spring competition of the season, the South Dakota State men's golf team finished ninth Tuesday at the Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational.
 
The Jackrabbits shot a two-round 611 (304-307) on the par 72, 6,900-yard Sunbrook Golf Course. Northern Colorado won the 11-team event, shooting a 572.
 
Junior 
Jacob Otta tied for eighth, firing a final-round 72 (71-72=143). Playing as an individual, senior 
Alejandro Perazzo also tied for eighth (71-72=143). Senior 
Jared Nicolls tied for 15
th (72-73=145).
 
Sophomore 
Jones Comerford tied for 57
th (81-80=161) and senior 
Jaxon Lynn (82-82=164) and freshman 
Jonah Dohrer (80-84=164) both tied for 60th.
 
Playing as individuals, freshman 
Harry Duggan finished 53
rd (78-80=158) and classmate 
Sam Batta tied for 65
th (83-83=166).
