WACO, Texas – The South Dakota State equestrian team saw 13 earning United Equestrian Conference All-Academic team honors Wednesday afternoon, as announced by the UEC.
Jessica Martinez was named All-Academic First-Team, Jacey Chorlton was named Second-Team and Whitney Vesey was named as an Honorable Mention while 12 earned Honor Roll.

To be named First Team, a rider must have competed in a minimum of 70 percent of their schools meets, not including demo or exhibition rides, and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous Spring and Fall semesters respectively.
Riders must compete in at least 60 percent of their schools meets with a GPA of at least 3.25 to be named Second Team, and 50 percent of meets with a GPA of 3.00 for Honorable Mention.
