15 Earn NCEA Academic Honors

WACO, Texas – The South Dakota State equestrian team saw a total of 15 women earn NCEA Academic Honors Thursday afternoon, as announced by the league office.
Eight were named to the Farnam NCEA All-Academic team while 12 earned a spot on the APHA Academic Honor Roll. Five were named on both lists with Jessica Martinez, Jacey Chorlton, Catelyn Hall, Rylee Streit and Sydney House all receiving the pair of honors.

To earn Farnam NCEA All-Academic First Team, the student-athlete must compete in at least 70 percent of her school's meets, excluding demo or exhibition rides, while also earning a cumulative GPA of 3.5 while maintaining full-time enrollment.
Second Team requires 60 percent of meets with at least a 3.25 GPA, and Honorable Mention requires 50 percent of meets with a 3.00 GPA.
To be named to the APHA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full time enrollment in the previous Spring and Fall semesters respectively.
