WACO, Texas – Claire Garduno of the South Dakota State equestrian team was named to the 2019 Ariat All-America Equitation over Fences team as an Honorable Mention Wednesday afternoon.

Garduno has gone 5-2 in the event this year, winning her last four matchups. The junior defeated her UT Martin opponent 149-52 in Fences during the first round of the UEC Championships in March. Garduno scored her regular season-high of 84 in Fences in February against Auburn.

The Jackrabbits gear up for the upcoming NCEA Championships on April 17-20.
