Women's basketball, men's cross country recognized for team academic excellence
SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State captured two Team Academic Achievement Awards and 98 Jackrabbits were named to the Summit League's 2018-19 Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence, released this week by the conference office.

Women's Basketball and Men's Cross Country were recognized by the league for academic excellence, recording the highest percentage of list-eligible student-athletes in their respective sports.

In order for a student-athlete to be selected to the Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence, the student-athlete must carry a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA, have used a year of eligibility and completed one year at the nominating institution.

189 Jackrabbits were recognized last week on the league's academic honor roll, tied for most among 13 Summit League schools.
