LAS VEGAS -- Former Jackrabbit
Mike Daum made his NBA Summer League debut Sunday evening in a Portland Trail Blazers' victory against the Houston Rockets.Â
The 6-9 forward scored four points and added an offensive board in 11 minutes, going 2-for-3 from the field as the Trail Blazers defeated Houston, 97-87.
Daum signed with the Trail Blazers following the 2019 NBA Draft after wrapping up his career as the most decorated player in South Dakota State's Division I history. The three-time Summit League Player of the Year scored over 3,000 points in his career and left the Jackrabbits as the all-time leading scorer and rebounder while also holding career records for made 3-pointers, field goals and free throws.
Portland dropped their initial summer league game Friday (93-73) to Detroit, and will have two more contests before tournament play begins later this week for the top eight teams. Fans can watch the Trail Blazers take on Utah at 5 p.m. CST Tuesday evening on ESPN2, and Oklahoma City Thursday at 7 p.m. CST. The OKC-Portland contest will air on NBATV.
