BROOKINGS – The South Dakota State Jackrabbits continued to improve their season and personal bests at the Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational on Saturday.

Before any events took place however, 2019 Jackrabbit conference champions were honored with a commemorative Summit League ring.
Cailee Peterson,
Delaney Carlson,
Rachel Propst,
Anna Fasen,
Krista Steele
and
Rachel King were each honored .
Ellie Friesen upped the temp for the Jackrabbits with her first place finish in the mile with a 4:54.72. The performance also marks a PR for the sophomore, and places her fifth on the all-time list.
Jaymie O'Connor ran unattached in the 60m hurldes and turned in a first place finsih with a time of 8.67, good enough for first place.Â
In the throw rings,
Micayla TerWee and
Madeline Moorhouse went second and third in the women's shot put. TerWee threw for a mark of 44-11.25 and third place while Moorhouse lead with a throw of 45-2.25. and second place.
Emma Stewart jumped or a new all-time mark in the long jump. She went for a distance of 19-01.25 and took first place in the event. Also in the jumps,
Addison Eisenbeisz matched her career best at 5-07 and took first place in the high jumps.
In the women's 800,
Oksana Covey took first with a mark of 2:11.89. In her first race her all-region performance in cross country,
Anna Donnay finished second in the women's 3000 with a time of 9:58.81.
Finally, the 4x300 relay of
Delaney Carlson,
Lauren Van Dyke,
Hannah Whitbread and
Oksana Covey turned in a 3:58.1 to earn second place.
