Women's golf adds Hester Sicking

South Dakota State announced Wednesday the addition of Hester Sicking to the women's golf team.

"We are thrilled Hester has chosen to be a Jackrabbit; she is a great addition to our program! From the first conversation, we were impressed with her intelligence and character," assistant coach Maggie Murphy said. "Her athleticism and power will translate well to collegiate golf and we look forward to watching her progress."

The Bloemendaal, Netherlands native is No. 16 in the Dutch ladies rankings. Sicking won both her club championship and national team championship. She placed ninth at the Dutch Youth National U18.

Sicking finished 13th in both the Dutch Ladies Amateur and Dutch Amateur Championship. Additionally, she was a European Club Trophy qualifier.

Sicking will enroll at SDSU in the fall and intends to major in Psychology.
