SDSU volleyball will begin the back half of the Summit season with South Dakota Friday night at Frost Arena.

SERIES HISTORY
State is 12-25 all-time against South Dakota. USD has swept all but two matches in the previous 10 meetings between the Jackrabbits and the Coyotes. The teams last met to open the League play Sept. 24 with USD winning 3-1.

SDSU took set one of the match but dropped the next three for the loss. Crystal Burk led the Jackrabbits in that contest with 20 kills to go with eight digs. Tatum Pickar paced the back row, recording 12 digs. Chloe Stitt and Jaydn Mackovicka contributed eight apiece.

Ella Thompson and Stitt had six kills each and Carly Wedel dished out 35 assists.

USD's Elizabeth Juhnke matched Burk's 20 kills and Sami Slaughter added 12. Madison Jurgens had 57 assists and Lolo Weideman notched 21 digs.

THE COYOTES
USD volleyball is 10-8 on the season and 7-2 in Summit action. The Coyotes went 2-1 last week, sweeping North Dakota, beating previously unbeaten Omaha in five sets and falling 2-3 to Denver.

Elizabeth Juhnke averages 3.45 kills per set (240 total) for the Coyotes, which leads her team and ranks fourth in the Summit League. She is second on the team in digs with 2.96 per set. Sami Slaughter and Madison Harms are also attacking threats for USD. They average 2.46 and 2.48 kills per set, respectively.

Lolo Weideman records 4.49 digs per set (310 total) as the Coyotes' libero and has 20 service aces on the season. Setter Madison Jurgens joins Juhnke and Weideman in triple-digit digs with 129 this year. She ranks third in the Summit in assists per set, averaging 9.80. Jurgens also leads the Coyotes from the service line with 26 aces.

THE JACKRABBITS
SDSU dropped a pair of road contests last week to move to 12-8 overall and 4-5 in Summit League action. The Jacks were swept by Denver and Omaha. The team's most recent win came at Frost Arena over North Dakota State on October 12.

Crystal Burk paces the Jackrabbit offense at 3.74 kills per set, which ranks second in the League. Chloe Stitt is also featured on that list, ranking eighth with 2.88 kills per set. Sydney Andrews is the most efficient Jackrabbit attacker. The senior hits as a .332 clip and is sixth in the Summit League.

Middles Ella Thompson and Andrews pace the Jackrabbit defense with .93 and .88 blocks per set, respectively. Tatum Pickar ranks sixth in the Summit in digs. She averages 3.94 digs per set and is followed by Burk's 2.38 average. Faith Saewert chips in 2.33 per set and Carly Wedel adds 1.79.

Wedel and Jasmine Weidemann have split the setting duties as of late. Wedel's 9.74 assists per set ranks fourth in the Summit while Weidemann has averaged 9.08 assists in the 13 sets she has played in this season.
