CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The SDSU men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its 2021-22 schedule Tuesday with a seventh-place finish at the Battle at Black Creek. The Jacks put together their best event to par of the fall season, turning in a +5 final scorecard.
RESULTS
SDSU's highest team round of the tournament was the final round, totaling 294 Tuesday after rounds of 287 and 288 to open the event. SDSU tied with Tennessee Tech and was five shots behind sixth-place Francis Marion.
Jack Tanner and
Jonah Dohrer led the Jackrabbits with matching 219 (+3) final totals. The pair finished tied for 22nd place.
Liam Georgiadis and
Matthew Schaefer also had matching scores. At 221 (+5), the duo was tied for 36th overall.
Will Frazier rounded out the Jackrabbit squad. He carded his best 18 holes of the week in the last round with a 68 (-4) to jump 28 spots in the standings in finish tied for 54th.
Host Chattanooga and UT-Martin were co-champions at seven-under-par. Nick Sutton of Tennessee Tech was crowned the individual champion with a 12-under scorecard.
UP NEXT
The Jackrabbits will be off until February. SDSU will open the spring in St. George, Utah at the Thunderbird Invitational.
