South Dakota State hosts NAIA opponent Dakota Wesleyan Wednesday evening in the Jackrabbits' final nonconference game of the season.
The Jacks are 3-7 on the season and 2-2 in home contests. SDSU most recently fell 79-73 to K-State Saturday afternoon.
Five Jackrabbits are averaging about nine points per contest, led by Paige Meyer's 9.7 PPG. Tylee Irwin adds 9.6 points on average, followed by Myah Selland (9.3), Paiton Burckhard (9.2) and Tori Nelson (9.0). Burckhard grabs 5.4 rebounds per game while Meyer gives out 3.4 assists, both team highs.
Dakota Wesleyan is 10-2 on the year with a 4-2 mark in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. The Tigers knocked off No. 22 Dordt 80-75 in conference action over the weekend. Matti Reiner paces the Tiger offense with 13.3 points per game. Jada Campbell is also a double-digit contributer with 12.7 PPG and shoots 51 percent from the field. Kaylee Kirk ranks third in scoring (8.9 PPG) and is the team's top rebounder (6.9 RPG) and passer (4.9 APG).

- South Dakota State is 3-7 on the season after a 79-73 loss to K-State Saturday afternoon at Frost.

- Myah Selland has appeared in three games for the Jacks this season. The 2021 Summit League Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-American averages 9.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 18 minutes per game.
- State was picked to finish second in the 2021-22 Summit League Preseason Poll, splitting the first-place votes with South Dakota (20-18). Paiton Burckhard, Tylee Irwin and Myah Selland were named to the Preseason All-Summit League team.
- Myah Selland was tabbed as the Summit League Preseason Player of the Year and was recently named to the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year, Cheryl Miller Small Forward Award Naismith and Wooden Award watch lists.
- Myah Selland has scored in every appearance of her career, 90 games, and put up more than 10 points in 66 of those contests.
- Myah Selland, Tylee Irwin and Paiton Burckhard have all scored more than 1,000 career points for South Dakota State. SDSU is one of just a handful of programs nationally with three or more active 1,000-point scorers.
