GAME 15: SOUTH DAKOTA STATE vs. NORTH DAKOTA |
South Dakota State returned to Frost to host a pair of Summit League contests this week. After beating North Dakota State 77-60 Thursday night, SDSU will host North Dakota Saturday afternoon.
The Jacks are 7-7 on the year and 3-0 in the Summit League. SDSU is on a four-game win streak and looks to make it five with the Fighting Hawks Saturday.
Paige Meyer was named the Summit League Player of the Week Monday after a solid first week of conference action. The freshman averaged 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.0 steals for the Jacks in last week's games. She ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.8 points per game.
Myah Selland averages 11.2 PPG to pace the Jacks' offense. She scored a season-high 19 at Kansas City last week and had 12 against the Bison Thursday.
Tori Nelson adds 9.6 points per game, followed by
Paiton Burckhard (9.5) and
Tylee Irwin (9.1).
Kallie Theisen grabs 5.4 rebounds per game while Meyer gives out 4.0 assists, both team highs.
North Dakota is 6-7 overall and 0-2 in the Summit League after a 46-85 loss to South Dakota Thursday night.
Kacie Borowicz puts up 17.2 points per game to go with 5.0 assists, both team highs. Olivia Lane averages 12.5 points and Claire Orth adds 11.7. Lane's 7.8 rebounds per game leads the Fighting Hawks. Orth is the team's steal leader with 2.2 per contest.

- South Dakota State is 7-7 overall and 3-0 in the Summit League with wins over Kansas City, Oral Roberts and North Dakota State.
