OMAHA, Neb.— South Dakota State passed Nebraska-Omaha in their home pool Satuirday, 184-116.
SDSU's 200 free relay of
Emma Walz, Emma Bachedler, Grace Whitherspoon and
Elisabeth Timmer swam a 1:38.62 to take fiirst place, and SDSU's 'B' squad of Kesley Kocon,
Katie Drezen,
Emily Pincus and Bethony Bespoyasny took third with a 1:41.56.
Kristen Davis would go on to turn in a time of 2:15.54 for second place in the women's 200 IM and later finished second in the 100 fly with a 59.19 while
Alyssa Eckstein (3rd, 1:01.18) followed behind. Finally, she would swim a 2:11.20 for gold in the 200 fly.
Elisabeth Timmer won the 100 free in a time of 52.88 and
Emma Walz finished right behind her with a 54.46 clocking,
Emma Walz went on to swim a 57.90 for first in the 100 back, and
Sianne Downes followed with a 1:00.15 for second.
Elisabeth Timmer picked up her second and third win of the day in the 200 free and the 50 free. In the 50, she swam a 24.70 and in the 200 she turned in a 1:56/17.
Katie Drezen followed Timmer in the 50 free, swimming a 24.86. In the 200, Pincus finished second with a mark of 1:58.15.
Pincus would then take first in the 500 free with a 5:15.82 clocking.
Zoey Ahrens finished second with a 5:23.98. In the 1650 free, Ahrens won in a time of 18:26.34, and
Maria Currie came in thrid with an 18:49.35.
Samantha Frigard swam a 1:07.73 to pick up a second place finish in the 100 breast.
Sianne Downes (2:09.25) and
Kelsey Kocon (2:10.54) took gold and silver for the Jacks in the 200 back. In the 200 breast
Alyssa Eckstein won with a time of 2:24.43.
SDSU 'A' (Kocon, Frigard, Davis, Walz) finished first with a mark of 3:59.03 and SDSU 'B' (Downes, Eckstein, Ocon, Bachelder) follows in third with a 4:00.48 in the 400 free relay.
On the boards,
Abbi Rouse took second with 221.15 points on the 3-meter board. On the 1-meter board,
Abbi Rouse claimed second with 241.19 points and
Quincee Simonson picked up third with 232.35.
