The South Dakota State equestrian team has added Kasey Bogie from Mendooran, New South Wales, Australia as a member of the 2021-22 signing class, as announced by western coach Morgan DiGiulio Friday.
Coming all the way from down under, the reining athlete and Macquarie Anglican Grammar School product brings with her a slew of accomplishments including the following:
- Champion Youth 14-18 years, Intermediate Non-Pro, Limited Open, and Michelle Halliwell Memorial Class at the Victorian State Show in 2020
- 2019 Reining Australia Non-Pro National Champion in Top Ten Standings
- 2019 Reining Australia Youth 14-18 years Reserve National Champion in Top Ten Standings
- 2019 Reining Australia Intermediate Non Pro Reserve National Champion in Top Ten Standings
- Reserve Champion Non-Pro and Youth 14-18 yrs at the National Continental Affiliate Championships in 2019
- Champion Non-Pro, Intermediate Open/Non-Pro and Youth 14-18 years at the GVRHA Buckle Up and Slide in 2019
- 2019 Queensland State Show Champion Youth 14-18 years

She was the 2020 school captain for Macquarie Anglican Grammar and took first place in the Design and Technology and Agriculture contests in 11th and 12th grade. Named 1th grade Macquarie Citizenship Award winner. The daughter of Jakkelyn and Matthew, Bogie plans to major in animal science while at State.
