The South Dakota State women's golf team will compete in the Summit League Championship in Newton, Kan. April 24-26.

The three-day event will consist of 54 holes of play at the par-72, 6,000-yard Sand Creek Station Golf Course. Action will start with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. each morning.

While the Jackrabbits have finished runner-up four times in program history, they look to capture their first Summit League title this weekend. State ranks second in the league in scoring average with 300.6 behind Denver with 293.4.

South Dakota State's lineup will feature Teresa Toscano, Mia Seeman, Hester Sicking, Cassidy Laidlaw and Lani Potter.

Toscano and Seeman were named to the All-Summit League First and Second Teams, respectively. Toscano leads the Summit League and the Jacks, while ranking No. 42 in the GolfStat rankings with a 71.9 scoring average. Seeman ranks second for SDSU with a 76.8 stroke average.
