The South Dakota State track and field program will send athletes to four meets this weekend with the Grand Valley State Extra Meet, the Bobcat Classic at Texas State, the Masanz Classic at MSU Moorhead and the WSC Wildcat Challenge at Wayne State.

LAST TIME OUT
Four Drake Relays championship titles (3 individual, 1 relay) and two school records were accomplished at the Drake Relays last weekend. Leah Hansen won the women's 10K with a 34:03.03 to take over as SDSU's school record holder and passed Kristin Asp's 35:02.60 1983 mark that previously stood in that place. Over the steeple barriers, Joshua Yeager ran a 8:48.70 for first in the event and SDSU's second-fastest mark of all-time. Coby Hilton clocked a 21.16 to win the men's 200 and the shuttle hurdles crew of Jaymie O'Connor, Haley Mottinger, Collette Wolfe and Savannah Risseeuw ran a 57.37 for first in the event in and a new SDSU school record. Also breaking a school record, Reid Pierzinski ran a 51.62 for first in the men's 400m hurdles, passing former Jackrabbit and longtime NDSU track and field coach Don Larson's mark set back in 1975.
