Douglas Wilson was named to the Mid-Season Watch List for the 2021-2022 Lou Henson Player of the Year award on Wednesday. Wilson, who was also named to the award's preseason watch list in November, was one of two Summit League athletes recognized.
Wilson, a pre-season All-Summit League First Team selection, is currently averaging 14.4 points and 5.2 rebounds this season. He also is currently ranked 10
th in the nation for free throws attempted (95) and 21
st in makes (64).
A three-year starter, Wilson has scored 1,103 points during his Jackrabbit career, which ranks 32
nd on the all-time scoring list.
The senior from Des Moines, Iowa was a second team all-league honoree last season and was named the 2019-2020 Summit League Player of the Year.
The award is named in honor of the former Illinois and New Mexico State head coach who won 775 games in 41 seasons. It is presented annually to the top player in mid-major men's basketball. The complete watch list can be seen

South Dakota State, who is 13-4 and currently sits atop the league with a 4-0 record, will play at Omaha on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Baxter Arena.
