BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota State begins its postseason pursuit for a conference title on Sunday when the Jackrabbits host a 3 p.m. Summit League semifinal match at Fishback Soccer Park. 
 
The Jackrabbits await the winner of No. 3 Omaha and No. 6 North Dakota with those two teams facing off in a quarterfinal contest on Friday at 6 p.m. in Brookings. The winner of the semifinal in Brookings will advance to The Summit League Championship game on Saturday, Oct. 5. The opponent and championship location will be determined by the winner of the opposite side of the conference bracket featuring No. 1 Denver, No. 4 Oral Roberts and No. 5 North Dakota State.
 
The Jackrabbits closed out their regular season schedule with seven straight victories. The winning streak is the fourth longest in program history. SDSU heads into its postseason appearance with a 13-0-5 overall record and 7-0-2 in Summit League play. The Jacks' .861 winning percentage is the best ever by the program that is in the midst of its 23rd season.
 
SDSU finished its regular season slate at Fishback Soccer Park with a 6-0-4 record. The Jacks have now went 38 straight matches without a loss in Brookings with their last defeat coming to Omaha in the 2018 Summit League semifinals.
 
The Jackrabbits took their strong non-conference schedule and extended it to league action. During the 2022 slate, SDSU led The Summit League in corner kicks per game (6.8), goals-against average (0.444), save percentage (0.877) and shutout percentage (0.611). 
 
SDSU has had recent success against both North Dakota and Omaha. The Jackrabbits beat each team 3-0, with SDSU topping Omaha at home on Oct. 2 and defeating the Fighting Hawks in Grand Forks on Oct. 21. 
 
Omaha went 3-0-1 to close out the regular season and take the No. 3 slot in the tournament. The Mavs, the fourth ranked defensive team in the league (1.00), are led by a trio of back line players in Jordyn West, Regan Zimmers and Grace Ostergaard. 
 
North Dakota topped South Dakota 1-0 in the season finale to claim the No. 6 slot. Goalkeeper Madi Livingston highlights the Hawks with her .842 save percentage this season.

Single game ticket prices for the Brookings site of The Summit League Women's Soccer Championship will be $10 for adults and $5 for youth admission. The first 50 South Dakota State University to Sunday's match featuring the Jackrabbits will have the opportunity to attend for free courtesy of South Dakota State Athletics.

	- 13: Total of championships earned by the South Dakota State soccer program since it began in 2000. The Jackrabbits have won six Summit League Tournament Championships (2008, 2014-16, 2019, 2021), six Summit League regular season titles (2008-09, 2011, 2014, 2017-18) and a United Soccer Conference tournament title in 2006.
- 10: South Dakota State has recorded at least 10 wins in 10 consecutive seasons, the longest streak of double-digit wins in the Summit League. The Jacks boast more 10-win seasons (12) than any other league school since 2010 and have amassed at least 10 wins in 14 of the last 15 seasons.
- 38: Number of consecutive matches the program is unbeaten in Brookings. The last defeat on their home turf came in The Summit League Championship semifinals on Nov. 1, 2018, to Omaha. 
- 1: The SDSU soccer team remains undefeated this season with its 13-0-5 record. No other team in Division I women's soccer can say the same following losses on Oct. 15 by UCLA (then No. 1 in the nation) and Portland (then No. 14 in the nation).
- 46: The Jackrabbits currently have their best RPI, and likely their highest in program history, as they head into The Summit League Tournament. The Jacks are currently 46th in the NCAA DI Women's Soccer RPI Rankings. SDSU was previously 48th in the RPI released Sept. 18, but fell down to 87th following ties against South Dakota (Sept. 24) and Denver (Sept. 30). The Jacks previous best to end a year was 115th in 2020.
