South Dakota State volleyball's
Crystal Burk has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Offensive Peak Performer of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Burk led the Jackrabbits to three wins last week with 55 total kills (5.5 kills per set) and 61 total points (6.1 points per set). She had four ace serves on the week and became the sixth Jackrabbit in program history to reach 1,500 career kills.Â
Burk, a fifth-year outside hitter, started her week with a match-high 22 kills along with 14 digs, good enough for her 20th double-double of the season, against North Dakota State. The Newman, Ga., native also posted two service aces and two blocks against the Bison. She reached her kill milestone in SDSU's sweep of St. Thomas with a match-high 18 kills, tallying her second-best hitting percentage of her career at .571 overall. She ended her week with her 21st double-double of the season with 15 kills and 11 digs and brought her single-season kill total to 458, which ranks eighth in the nation.
