EATONTON, Ga. - The South Dakota State women's golf team opened the spring season Friday at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite hosted by Mercer at the Great Waters Golf Course. The Jacks are tied for seventh after 18 holes.
The Jackrabbits are +19 following the first round. All five Jackrabbits are within four strokes of each other, led by
Lani Potter at +3 and 16th place.
Shakira-Ann Kuys is just behind her at +4, followed by
Mia Seeman and
Piper Stubbs at +6 and
Hester Sicking is +7.
Potter tallied four birdies on the day for the Jackrabbits. Sicking and Seeman had two each and Stubbs posted one. Kuys parred 15 holes, the second most of any player.
Delaware leads the team standings at +7. North Florida's Mindy Herrick tops the individual leaderboard at -3.
The Jacks will be back on the course Saturday morning for round two.
