South Dakota State makes its spring break trip to California starting this weekend and will be on the road through Thursday of next week.

The Jackrabbits will start their trip at the Santa Barbara Spring Break Bash. SDSU will take on Sacred Heart and Santa Barbard Saturday, Princeton and Santa Barbara Sunday and then is set for a doubleheader with Manhattan Monday. SDSU will play a doubleheader at CSUN Wednesday and another Thursday at Loyola Marymount to round out the trip.

State enters the trip 9-7 overall and is coming off a 1-3 weekend in Lincoln, Nebraska.

KEY STORYLINES

The Jackrabbits are coming off a 1-3 weekend in Lincoln, Nebraska, where SDSU dropped both games to Wichita State and split 1-1 with Nebraska.
Rozelyn Carrillo has reached base in nine straight games and is batting .396 for the Jacks. She has a .450 on-base percentage and .698 slugging percentage.
Four more Jacks are hitting above .300 - Brooke Dumont (.333), Allison Yoder (.324), Emma Osmundson (.311) and Lindsey Culver (.304).
Emma Osmundson enters the trip on a five-game hitting streak, the longest active streak for the Jackrabbits, and has reached base in eight straight games.
Tori Kniesche is 5-3 on the year with a 4.21 ERA. She has struck out 10 batters in four of her eight games this season.
Tori Kniesche is averaging 1.4 strikeouts per inning and 9.98 strikeoouts per seven innings.
Grace Glanzer has a 4.22 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 42.2 innings pitched.
Cylie Halvorson has five home runs on the season and 16 RBIs, both team highs.
SDSU returns all nine all-Summit players from a season ago, including Player of the Year Cylie Halvorson, Pitcher of the Year Tori Kniesche and Freshman of the Year Grace Glanzer.
The Jackrabbits were picked to repeat as Summit League Champs after going 21-1 to win the regular season and won the Summit League Tournament.
SDSU ranked ninth nationally in slugging percentage (.560) and 14th in ERA (1.87) in the nation last season, one of three schools in the country to rank in the top 15 in both categories.
