AUSTIN, Texas — South Dakota State University forward Matt Dentlinger earned his second consecutive selection to the Division I Academic All-America Men's Basketball Team as chosen by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.

A native of Arcadia, Iowa, Dentlinger received second-team recognition after compiling a 3.99 grade-point average as a graduate student in engineering. He previously was a third-team selection after attaining a perfect 4.0 GPA as an undergraduate student in mechanical engineering.

On the court, Dentlinger has played in all 34 games this season with 12 starts. He is averaging 5.7 points and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 61.5 percent from the field and 80 percent at the free throw line for a Jackrabbit squad that won both Summit League regular season and tournament titles, and will play Providence in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday.
