BOULDER CITY, Nev. - South Dakota State women's golf wrapped up the Jackrabbit Invitational in second place in the team standings Tuesday afternoon with SDSU's
Hester Sicking taking also taking second place among all players.
The Jackrabbits finished 3-over after three rounds with an 867 total score, their best scores of the season.
Sicking shot 1-under in her final 18 holes, the second-best score of the day, to maintain her spot on the leaderboard. The sophomore's 69 in round two Monday set a new single-round career best. Her 213 (-3) final scorecard is also a career-low.
Lani Potter finished in eighth place, nine spots better than her standing after round two. She was even-par with a 216.
Mia Seeman also finished in eighth at 216 (E). The senior turned in a 72 scorecard for all three rounds of the invitational.
Shakira-Ann Kuys finished in 22nd place at +6 and
Piper Stubbs finished 50th at +16 to round out the team scorers.Â
Tatum Depuydt and
Alex Kandolin competed individually. Depuydt finished 24th with a 224 (+8) final score and Kandolin was 39th at 229 (+13).
The Jackrabbit team performed the best of all competing squads on par 3 and par 5 holes. SDSU finished 2-under on par-3 holes and 13-under on par-5s.
