South Dakota State opens the Summit League season this weekend in Omaha to take on the Mavericks. The Jackrabbits are 19-7 on the year and riding an 11-game win streak. SDSU went 10-0 on its spring break trip to California, outscoring opponents 61-13 over the six-day stretch.

Tori Kniesche are the reigning Summit League Player and Pitcher of the Week following outstanding performances last week.
South Dakota State leads the Summit League in batting average (.298), ERA (2.58), home runs per game (1.08), on base percentage (.366) and slugging percentage (.472).
Rozelyn Carrillo paces SDSU at the plate with a .357 batting average and 30 hits on the season. Her batting average ranks sixth in the Summit and hit total is fifth.
Lindsey Culver is on a seven-game hitting streak. She is batting .333, ranking third for SDSU.
Cylie Halvorson leads the Summit in home runs with eight dingers on the year, including three on spring break.
SDSU's pitching staff is holding opponents to a .226 batting average.
Tori Kniesche tops the league in strikeouts with 107 and ranks second in in ERA at 2.03.
Grace Glanzer's 2.5 ERA ranks sixth.
