Mia Seeman and the Jackrabbit women's golf team held off the Stampede at the Creek tournament field over the final 18 holes to take first place at the event Tuesday. Four Jackrabbits finished in the top ten.
The Jackrabbits had an eight-stroke lead over South Dakota following Monday's 36 holes and maintained that advantage through the last round. This is the second fist-place finish of the season for SDSU.
Seeman won by one stroke over Creighton's Katherine Lemke for the first first-place finish of her career. The senior carded a 217 (71-69-77) to finish +1. Seeman had 11 birdies at the tournament, the most of any player.
Piper Stubbs finished in third place, the highest finish of her career. The freshman shot +1 Tuesday, the best round of the day for all players, to finish +4 overall with a 220 (74-73-73) scorecard.
Hester Sicking took fifth place at +6 overall, tallying a 222 (73-74-75). She was one of three players to record and eagle.
Lani Potter finished ninth with a 228 (+12, 79-72-77) scorecard.
Shakira-Ann Kuys rounded out the SDSU lineup in 27th place. She shot her best round of the tournament Tuesday, a 76, to jump 16 spots on the leaderboard.
Alex Kandolin competed individually and ended in 16th place.

The Jackrabbits will compete in the Summit League Championships April 24-26 in Newton, Kansas.
