VERMILLION - South Dakota State softball set a new program record for runs in a single game Saturday with a 20-0 victory over South Dakota in game two of the doubleheader with the Coyotes.
Rozelyn Carrillo drove in seven runs for the Jacks, also a school record, with a grand slam, two-RBI homer and sacrifice fly.Â

Emma Osmundson and
Jocelyn Carrillo had two each while three others tallied one. Osmundson,

Rozelyn Carrillo all went 3-for-3 at the plate.
SDSU put up three runs in the opening frame, four more in the third, eight in the fourth and five in the fifth. The Jackrabbits tallied 16 hits and no errors.
Grace Glanzer (11-3) pitched four innings, striking out seven batters and giving up one it.
Emma Hardin tossed the final inning of the run-rule victory.Â
The Jacks dropped game one 3-5. After the Coyotes plated five runs in the second inning SDSU tried to work its way back with a homer from
Cheyanne Masterson in the fourth and two-RBI double from
Allison Yoder in the fifth but came up short.Â
Yoder had three hits in game one.
Tori Kniesche takes the loss and moves to 9-5 on the season.Â
The Jackrabbits move to 22-9 on the year and 3-2 in the Summit League.Â
