BROOKINGS, S.D. – Two teams that had registered multiple ties during the non-conference schedule played to a competitive 1-1 score on Sunday, Sept. 11, as South Dakota State and Creighton finished with a draw at Fishback Soccer Park.Â

The Jackrabbits and Bluejays played 45 minutes of scoreless soccer on Sunday before SDSU opened the scoring in the second half.

Kayla Anderson who connected on a right-footed strike past the Creighton goalkeeper in the 51st minute to put the Jackrabbits ahead. The goal for Anderson was her second of the season while Eckerle recorded the first assist of her college career.Â

The Bluejays tied the score in the 70th minute on the leg of Hailey Rothwell.Â

Creighton had three shots in the final 10 minutes of action, while SDSU had one, but neither teams were able to capitalize.Â

The Jackrabbits remain undefeated with the draw and now have an overall record of 4-0-3. Creighton stands at 4-0-4. SDSU improved on its unbeaten streak during regular season matches at Fishback Soccer Park to 35. Anderson finished with a team-high three shots and was followed by
