Zeke Mayo had impactful performances for South Dakota State in two victories at Frost Arena and was recognized Tuesday for his efforts as the TicketSmarter Summit League Men's Basketball Peak Performer of the Week.Â

In Thursday's win over Western Illinois, Mayo scored a career-high 33 points, which included scoring the team's final 15 points of the game in a just over five-minute span. Mayo was 11 of 21 from the field, including 4 of 9 from deep, along with a 7-for-8 clip at the free throw line. He added four rebounds and two assists to his stat line in the win against the Leathernecks.Â

On Saturday, Mayo recorded his second double-double of the season as his 12 points and 11 rebounds helped boost SDSU to a win over St. Thomas. He added a team-high five assists in the victory that improved the Jacks to 2-1 in league play.

Mayo averages a team-high 14.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game through 15 contests this season. The Summit League peak performer honor is the first of Mayo's career.Â

The Jackrabbits begin a stretch of three consecutive games on the road when SDSU takes on North Dakota State in Fargo at 7 p.m. on Thursday.Â
