South Dakota State embarks on its first road trip of the season as the Jackrabbits make the journey to Manhattan, Kansas, to face the Kansas State Wildcats on Monday at 7 p.m. in Bramlage Coliseum.Â

The matchup between the Jacks and Wildcats is just the fourth ever against one another. Kansas State owns a 3-0 mark all-time over SDSU with the last meeting taking place 60 years ago.Â

SDSU will face Kansas State in a stretch of four consecutive games away from Brookings. The Jacks will fly to Florida to take part in the Jacksonville Classic from Nov. 19-20 in St. Augustine on the campus of Flagler College. The Jacks face UCF to open the tournament and follow the next day by taking on either Charlotte or George Mason. SDSU makes a stop in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to play Southern Miss on Nov. 22 on its way back to South Dakota.Â

The Jackrabbits are 1-1 overall this season. SDSU fell to Mid-American Conference favorite, Akron, 81-75 in the season opener. The Jacks earned their first win with an 83-55 triumph over NAIA Dakota Wesleyan.Â

Summit League Preseason Player of the Year
Zeke Mayo has led the Jackrabbits in scoring through the first two games of the season. The junior guard has produced back-to-back 28-point efforts. Mayo had a double-double his last time out as did
William Kyle III who had 17 points and a career-high 13 rebounds against Dakota Wesleyan.Â

The duo have been joined in SDSU's starting five so far this year by
Luke Appel,
Charlie Easley and
Kalen Garry. Appel has had two games scoring in double digits, while Garry registered 10 points his last time out. Easley had a 10-point performance in SDSU's defeat versus the Zips.

Kansas State, a season after advancing to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament, is 1-1 in the midst of its second season under the guidance of Jerome Tang. The Wildcats fell in in their season opener against No. 21/22 USC, 82-69, in Las Vegas. Kansas State responded in its home opener on Friday by defeating Bellarmine, 83-75. Tylor Perry leads Kansas State in scoring (20.0) and in assists (5.5) for a squad that is receiving votes in both major polls.Â
