South Dakota State travels to Martin, Tennessee to take on UT Martin Saturday afternoon. The Jackrabbits are 1-1 following a loss at Wisconsin Tuesday night while UT Martin is 0-3 on the year.
UT Martin's 0-3 mark has come with losses to Marquette, Vanderbilt and Central Arkansas. The Skyhawks went 13-17 overall last season. The team is led by 11.7 points per night from Anaya Brown and 11.3 PPG from Kenley McCarn.
South Dakota State won its season opener 55-42 over Arkansas State at home November 6, then fell 66-64 at Wisconsin Tuesday.
Brooklyn Meyer is averaging 17.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per contest to lead the Jackrabbits. She put up career-bests 19 points and five blocks to go with 11 rebounds against the Badgers Tuesday.
Madison Mathiowetz and
Mesa Byom contributed 13 and 11 points, respectively, against Wisconsin, both career bests.
Madysen Vlastuin had nine points with three 3-pointers.
This is the second all-time meeting between these teams. The Jackrabbits won the first-ever meeting last season, 75-36, at Frost Arena.
