South Dakota State heads back to the Sanford Pentagon for its next contest as the Jackrabbits make the quick trip to Sioux Falls to take on Towson. The Jacks and Tigers are slated for a 7 p.m. start on Friday.

The Jackrabbits will be playing their 17th all-time game inside the Sanford Pentagon. Since its debut in the facility in 2014, SDSU holds an 8-8 record. In their appearance at the Sanford Pentagon a season ago, the Jacks defeated St. Bonaventure on Nov. 15, 66-62, thanks to a late second half rally. SDSU is 2-2 all-time in games not part of a multi-team event.Â

SDSU is in the midst of three consecutive contests in the state of South Dakota. Following Friday's matchup against Towson, the Jacks will host Kent State at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, in Frost Arena.Â

The Jackrabbits are coming off a 92-70 victory over Mount Marty on Monday in Brookings. The two sides were tied at 41 at halftime before SDSU pulled away in the second half. The Jacks shot 56.8% from the field over the final 20 minutes while holding the Lancers to a 29.6% clip. SDSU eventually outshot Mount Marty 53.6-43.6% despite the Lancers going 8-for-13 from 3-point range in the first half. Both SDSU and Towson enter Friday's matchup at 3-4 overall as the two square off for the first time ever. The Tigers feature a competitive schedule so far this season and have been tough defensively. The Tigers' schedule feature defeats at Colorado as well as neutral-site losses to Houston, Wake Forest and North Texas.

Towson ranks 42nd in the nation in scoring defense (63.6) to go along with the 47th best rebound margin (8.6). Freshman Tyler Tejada leads the Tigers in scoring at 11.0 points per game.
