FIVE TRACKRABBITS THRIVE ON FRIDAY

LINCOLN, NE – Five members of the South Dakota State track and field teams competed at three different meets on Friday, each finding success in their own races.

Three Jackrabbits competed in the Bob Devaney Sports Center for the Nebraska Tune-up in Lincoln. Will Lohr kicked things off for SDSU by taking sixth place overall in the men's mile with a new personal best time of 4:11.20.

Caitlin Bright took seventh in her heat and ninth overall in the women's mile after clocking a 5:05.09 while Andrew Moeller crossed the finish line in 1:56.24 for eighth place in the men's 800-meter run.

At the Snowshoe Open in Minneapolis, Kyle Nordling ran an 8:39.55 for 11^th place in the men's 3000-meter run.

Finally, Pierre Lear finished in 10^th place overall in the 60-meter hurdle prelims after clocking an 8.02.

UP NEXT: Brookings will host the SDSU First Chance Youth Meet and SDSU Last Chance Meet on Saturday at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex. There will also be a Title IX Ceremony at 1 p.m.
