DeBARY, Fla. - The South Dakota State women's golf team placed 11th at the Babs Steffens Invitational hosted by Stetson.
The Jackrabbits placed 11th out of 13 competing teams at the DeBary Golf Club. The squad posted its best team round of the week on the final day, a 313 (+25), which brought their final tally to 960 (+96).
Piper Stubbs paced the Jackrabbits for the third consecutive tournament. The sophomore tallied a 5-over 77 in her last round and turned in a 237 (+21) final scorecard to finish in a tie for 42nd place. Stubbs had 14 par holes Tuesday.
Shakira-Ann Kuys was two shots back with a 239 (+23) final tally. She finished in a tie for 46th.
Tatum Depuydt recorded a 240 (+24) over three rounds and finished in a tie for 48th place.
Alex Kandolin placed 65th (251, +35) and
McKenzie Mages placed 67th (259, +43). Mages notched two birdies Tuesday with a 3-over tally on her final 18 holes.
Florida International won the team title and had two players - Riley Hamilton and Karissa Kilby - place first and second, respectively.
